It is best viewed from Lianhuashan Park. There is a large space at the base of the hill the park is on, facing the Shenzhen Civic Center from a distance of about 600 meters.

The architecture is designed by Arata Isozaki, a famous Japanese avant-grade architect, who enjoys a reputation in the international construction field. It is a modern and professional concert hall specifically designed and constructed for music performance.
